Today the boys and girls in Mrs Kearney's class enjoyed a data handling carousel outside. This hands-on experience helped the pupils to deepen their understanding of using Venn diagrams to make connections between different areas of their learning across the curriculum. The 4 Venn diagrams explored the topics of shape and space in Numeracy, alphabet sounds in Literacy and animals and pirates from our World Around Us topics. The boys and girls worked collaboratively, engaged in meaningful discussions, sharing their sorting decisions. This outdoor lesson fostered teamwork and communication skills.
