❄️☃️❄️Snow much fun in Nursery!❄️☃️❄️
What an exciting first week back it’s been as our nursery children embraced the magic of winter!
Our outdoor playground was transformed into a magical snowy playground, offering endless opportunities to explore!
We began our adventure by getting ready for the cold weather. Everyone practised putting on their winter layers, learning to manage zippers, fasten buttons, and pull on gloves—important skills for independence and self-confidence. Once dressed in coats, hats, scarves, gloves, waterproof trousers, and wellies, the children were ready to investigate!
The children stepped out into the snow-covered playground, leaving trails of footprints behind them. They were fascinated by the marks their wellies made in the snow and loved comparing them to the tiny tracks left by birds and even some curious cats!
The children excitedly explored the nursery garden, collecting snow from trees, playground structures, frozen utensils, icy surfaces, and snow-filled pots. They noticed how ice felt cold and slippery, how it melted when touched, and how snow could be moulded into shapes.
The children were thrilled to experience the wonder of snow first-hand! This snowy experience gave them the chance to learn about the winter season in such a magical, hands-on way!
A big thank you to our families for ensuring the children were warmly dressed and ready to make the most of the winter weather.
