This week the boys and girls in primary one have been learning how to make number bonds within 3. The children started out by counting familiar real-world objects that they could interact with. They then used counters to represent the real-world objects. From here they progressed to grouping counters in to two groups and the children learned the different ways to make number bonds within 3.
The boys and girls have also been revising the process of addition using practical materials as a guide. They worked with a partner and rolled a dice to find two sets of numbers.
