Miss Murphy’s primary 6 have been learning how to write clear and concise instructions in literacy this week.
We discussed the features; imperative verbs, adverbs, chronological order, connectives etc. and witnessed first hand what happens when they are not included! (Miss Murphy’s hand covered in butter for example, as she was not told to use a knife)
In the end, we worked together to edit our instructions to ensure we included everything on our checklist, allowing us to enjoy yummy jam sandwiches!
