As part of our People Who Help Us theme, we were thrilled to welcome Firefighter Mary Kate to the nursery this week! The children were fascinated as she showed them some of the important equipment firefighters use to stay safe and do their jobs, including helmets, breathing apparatus, and protective clothing.
Mary Kate also spoke about the importance of fire safety, teaching the children simple but crucial steps to stay safe at home and what to do in an emergency. The session sparked lots of curiosity, and the children loved asking questions about her role in keeping our community safe.
A huge thank you to Firefighter Mary Kate for taking the time to visit and inspire the children with her bravery and dedication. It's visits like these that help our little ones understand the incredible work of the people who help us every day.
