Chinese New Yearπ¨π³ππ
30th Jan 2025
As yesterday, the 29th January, marked the beginning of the Chinese New Year, Miss Murphy’s primary six class learned all about it!
We discussed the differences between our New Years and theirs, and discovered that the celebrations last 15 days and the start date changes every year, depending on the new moon. We also looked at the different animals representing the Chinese years, and noted that 2025 marks the year of the snake.
To join in on the celebrations, we created our own snakes!
