๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚Autumn Adventures - Nursery Children Observe Seasonal Changes๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚

5th Nov 2024
๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚Our nursery children had a fantastic time raking up autumn leaves in the nursery garden! As they worked together to gather leaves into big, colourful piles, they practiced teamwork and cooperation, sharing tools and taking turns with each other. The children also developed important motor skills: raking helped with gross motor strength and coordination, while picking up and sorting leaves supported their fine motor skills.

In addition, they were learning about problem-solving as they figured out how to collect leaves efficiently, noticing how wind can blow their piles away and how to prevent it!  This activity also sparked their curiosity about nature, with plenty of chats about the changing colours, different leaf shapes, and why leaves fall in autumn.๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚
